Claverdon Caterham Spares is indeed the first port of call for blackbird info. Unfortunately Barry is also an "add lightness" obsessive... 😬 Try not to get caught on the same carbon-fibre paved path to enlightenment! I think you're right though... Complete replacement of wings/nosecone with CF - Cost 1200, weight saved 5kg. Crash diet and Stella embargo for pilot - Cost -20 quid a week (in cream buns alone), weight saved 10kg! Blinking flip, that's far too sensible... No, no, no! What I *really* need is a Mistral Performance engine upgrade - 1200cc, forged pistons, race cams etc. 200+bhp for a mere 7K!
