Vogon SuperTrooper
I have the option of changing from standard to comp exhaust on a RKing 1.8 xflow. Is it worth it; what's the difference, what other considerations are there beyond the exhaust itself?(aesthetics aside). Many thanks Charles the Lamentable Untechie. V7 SLR
It has been said that the primaries on the K series comp exhaust are about as good as you can get. I used to have a crossflow with a comp exhaust and I believe it was of similarly good construction, but have no idea whether, like the K series, there was any benefit over any other exhaust. What you have to establish is whether your car's breathing is restricted by the current setup. Roger (King) should know best I guess. His knowledge of crossflows is very comprehensive. Alex Wong1697456877
The standard exhaust gives moretourque at the expense of peak BHP. It's quieter, especially for your passenger as it exits from the side. In truth, the difference in performance isn't that much but I prefer side exit pipes in general. Just my opinion though.
