Big Brother
Can anyone advise please. I have purchased a s/hand Micro Dynamics RL3 rev limiter and am unsure on what to do with the "test" connection. The Chassis, Coil+ and Coil- seem straight forward but.... A, is the test to set the limiter to half scale mode to enable setting up? B, does the test connection need to be 12v or -ve when doing the above? Any advice appreciated, as would be photocopied / scanned instructions. TIA Steve Emission Internet
Big Brother
Where are all the techies when you need them? Still waiting to fit the limiter. If anyone has a Micro Dynamics RL3 limiter fitted, can you take a peek at where the "test only" connection goes. Thanks Steve Emission Internet
DaveK
Steve The test pin is for use when initially setting the rl3 We have a machine at DT that can set the limiter to the revs required. If you wish to set the limit yourself then you will have to use full revs to find the existing limit cheers dave
Big Brother
Dave, I was under the impression the limit was set by adjusting the small screw that says "+ and -" I assumed that the test connection was to allow for setting up at 1/2 scale. DaveK
Steve Yes you are right in assuming that you adjust by turning the screw in the side, however the 1/2 scale facility is only available on the rl5 model Cheers dave
