Harry Flatters
Can anyone answer these two quick questions. (1) Is fitting an FIA rollbar an easy job and does it interfere with the existing tonneau cover. (2) I'm dumping my 16" HPC's in favour of 13x7 rears and 13x6 fronts. Which one should I buy as the spare. Thanx Steve Mell PTM
Andrew Russell
Yes the FIA bar does require a different boot cover and why don't you stick with 6" wheels all around, and save the hassle of having an 'odd' spare? As for the full tonneau cover that should still fit although if you leave the Petty strut on you will have to modify it slightly, but for general use the standard cover will suffice. paul jacobs
As far as the wheels and tyres go, logically, you should try and match up the two rear tyres, otherwise you will be doing some damage or at least making your dif. work harder if one rear wheel is turning faster than the other, if you drive carefully, I doubt that you would notice the difference on the front. And yes, the FIA bar boot cover has to have larger holes for the bracing struts at the rear, though it might be possible to enlarge the existing holes enough. EFA
A junior hacksaw is much cheaper than a spare wheel. Whichever you go for, it'll be the wrong one when you need it!
