maritain Posted July 18, 2001 Share Posted July 18, 2001 i've recently found a ford sierra with a 2.0 ltr engine at a very cheap price. apart from the engine and the gearbox, what else could i take from it and use to build a 7. basically apart from the parts from the sierra what are the main things i'd still have to order from caterham to build myself a 7? what kit from? drive a seven experience heaven! Glenn Wheeler Posted August 5, 2001 Share Posted August 5, 2001 The de dion 7 uses sierra diff/drive shafts(will need shortening)brake calipers, hub and discs. If you are on a budget and dont want a Q plate you may be able to keep the sierra reg if you can convince the DVLA (or what ever its called these days)that a major number of the donor parts have been used in the 7.
