C7JFM
looking to change the ratios from 4.11 to 3.64 on an ital live axle. Any old axles or diffs out there ?
R2D2
I think that the axle is the same as the early Triumph TR7 4 speed and Rimmer Bros have them in their catalogus for quite a good price. They sell CWPs and complete diff units. http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/
wg_mulholland
I've got an old rear axle from a 1.3 morris marina in the garage- it's not got all the bit's welded on for the live axle fitment, but the diff was fine when taken off the car! (god knows what ratio it is though- any experts out there?) If your interested, post here or e-mail me at wg_mulholland@hotmail.com ps It's cheap! wg_mulholland
I'm in southwest scotland 45 minutes north of carlisle. However I do make quite frequent trips to london (usally at about 7 week intervals) so could meet up on the way or whatever. Anyone got any idea what ratio it is yet? C7JFM
having done some investigating i think the 1.3 marina is unlikely to have the sort of ratio i am looking for. The 1.8 and 2.0 axles are a better bet. Thanks for your help anyway
R2D2
I don't think that the diff from the 1.3 will fit the 1.7/2.0 litre Ital casing. It is basically a Morris 1000 unit.
