Pah

I have several Bayless cookery books and have my own torillia press (although I have to admit it's broken at the moment or in fact since I move house, can anyone here weld aluminium ?)

Bring it on big boy *thumbup* 😬 I could pick up my stickers at the same time *tongue*

sounds like we need a Davis vs Blair, England vs USA, sorry Texas cook off..

Each competitor to bring on pan of chilli, with suitable sides & cooling beer. A panel of judges will sample both and after taking into account bribes and fringe benefits present the inagural Chilli Champion to the best Chef....

Time?

Location?

Judges?

roll up, roll up....

shame you can't make Angelsey Steve as lunch time might have been the perfect time.. lots of shedders present for tastings, and only those with the most cast iron stomach would survive the afternoon!

Texas vs England... as any true Texan will tell you, they don't really consider themselves to be a permanent part of the USA.

Bit like Scotland and Britain really!!

anyway, what do Jocks know about food? haggis, black pudding and deep fried mars bars (and then mars bars are English!).

Maybe Houston has better quality chilli, Fort Worths & Dallas'(and Greenbays) was plenty bland slop... no beans, no bite and crappy beer (ok, shiner bock is ok...)

Indeed the building that used to house the Texan Embassy in London is now a Tex-Mex restuarant.

PS Neil I don't put beans in chilli itself, I may do refried beens as a side dish but it all goes down the same hole burning as it goes down 😬 and then later ...........
