SVA Cycle Wing Piping Adhesive

What glue are you supposed to use to stick this onto the cycle wings ?

 

I just pushed it on without glue and recently got home and noticed that it had fell off of one of the wings

Once you're SVA'd, pull it all off and throw it away?

Mr FH and I had a "difference of opinion" over this stuff blush.gif

 

It was beginning to come adrift, so I started to remove it (Caterham said it was only there for the SVA) but he liked it, so I pushed it back (for about a week) wink.gif

 

I then took it all off and it left nasty bits of globby glue on the paintwork.

 

It took me over eight hours to get the bl**dy stuff orf mad.gif

 

 

But I think it looks much better without, so it was worth the effort thumbsup.gif

I used clear silicon bath sealant. It sticks pretty well and comes off reasonably easily.

You can also find 101 (or more) uses for the leftover around the house :-)

 

If you have problems getting it off, you can use silicon remover/eater..

I still have mine on there after nearly a year,,, what is wrong with that???

I know that everyone rushed to take it off after the test but I think that it:

 

a) finishes the wings off (especially on my yellow wings)

b) stops the stone damage that seems to split the edges of the wings
