Steve Robinson
Andy - sometime around the 5th sounds like a plan. Venue location will be a nightmare, but anywhere in Herts or Beds is probably best for all concerned I'm sure Steve
Mrs Kipper
BB I am sorry if any of my posts implied any criticism, that definitely wasn't the intention. Having said that I wouldn't get involved, I couldn't resist a comment or two. To summarise, I will give a big to no changes for next year. This may be a bit academic because with the job situation at the moment there may not be a next year Kipper Fun is not a straight line.

Graham Perry
How about me lobbing in a small grenade at this point, and asking where an 1800 Duratec plenum car might sit in the class structure ? This is worthy of consideration as it might happen in the next year or so 😬 (he says, trying to rob Nelson of his trubble maker 'crown' 😳) Edited by - Graham Perry on 29 Jul 2004 17:25:
robmar
is that the standard production plenum although the regs would have you in class 4&5, it may make more sense to be 2&3 what sort of power outputs are these units pumping out in 'standard' tune you have now officially taken on the title of "chief trubble make" 😬 rob
Graham Perry
Well they are 130hp in a Mondy, with a restrictive inlet and exhaust sytem. 140hp should be easy
david nelson
Thanks everyone you have just save me loads of money. Regs as this year so no upgrades= *smile*. Will join you in the pub in November Steve. I want to close the thread but its only 6 pages, what other subjects need to be sorted 😬 David

Silver 21
Graham Duratec 1800 is definately 4 & 5, the 1800 version can be made to produce 200bhp Graham Competition Secretary 2004 Speed Championship - 9 events
Graham Perry
200hp mmmnnn nice. 4 & 5 looks to be the best place for them then. Actually I should have realised this to start with as they have multipoint injection. Edited by - Graham Perry on 30 Jul 2004 08:10:

david nelson
Steve flared wing must have an advantage especaly if its got the chutty chutty bang bang flying mod. I also think they would be better when comming of the track as they stop stones, mud ect, hitting the driver. David
Mattj
Steve: Flares are a fantastic addition to the excuse book if you run a poor time! I drive the only car in class 1 with full screen and flares, so it gives you more satisfaction when you beat someone else To be honest, I think they make negligable difference, on the slower venues at least. (Different story on the fast corner at MIRA where the front lifts and the steering goes light! )
Steve Robinson
But flares look so old fashioned.......just trying to keep the debate alive 😳 😬 Steve
Peter Carmichael
You're having a laugh about the 1.8 Zetec. By the time it's producing that sort of power it will be on TBs or carbs and will be a class 4/5 car anyway. On standard plenum I would have thought better to allow it in class 2/3 especially seeing as it is a boat anchor.
robmar
who mentioned zetec but if you meant duratec then I agree as I said earlier if on plenum they should be similar in output to 1800K's rob
