Aircraft Spruce and Specialty sell a Goo for creating/sealing Fuel tanks in Airplane wing Compartments.. FAA approved too...something like this in Mind? I want to make sure that all the 12v terminals are covered inside the tank, I have been advised that there is no risk but having invested £XX k in the car I would like to have combustion in the engine and not in the tank. There are two spade connectors which are separated in the k-type housing but visible. Caterhams chaps also suggest corrosion can set in if not addressed at assembly stage although they did not have a sensible compound to help I will also try Wurth who were great on the adhesive for fixing front wings ! What you see in films is a Hollywood thing like tyres squeaking on grit. NO One esle manages to put the Electrical conectors actualy inna Fuel :-) Although it matters little as even in 'better' engineered systems the Pump Motor Brushes are happliyl Arcing away for as long as the Pump is running. Fortunately, Gasoline is Neither conductive nor Corrosive.. and in the absense of Oxygen seemngly 'safe'... Millions of Vehicles have proven this.
