Taran Las
Anyone had the problem when (on a newly built engine) the oil pressure up to 4000 revs is just over 5 bar, but over 5000 revs it starts to drop to 4 - is this the blow off valve operating incorrectly? Thanks Phil Owen.
John E
Hi Phil, Thanks for the e mail. Battery sorted and still thinking about the bell housing. My engine runs at 4 bar all at all revs above tickover. According to RK this is correct. It drops very slightly after a motorway journey in current hot weather conditions. This is probably the oil heating up. When normal running is resumed it goes back up to 4 bar. . I can see no reason why yours should be up at above 4 bar in the first place. Give RK a call.
