Many Thanks for the info Daves web site is excellent.

Is it worth having the Crank cross drilled to reduce oil starvation at high RPM ?

Peter....

where did you get your big end bearings from ? caterham / minster ?

Regards,

Alex Minchin.

The standard crank is cross drilled, but not necessarily in the most sensible way. The feed for the big ends only comes from two of the mains. Main 2 feeds big ends 1&2; main 4 feeds big ends 3 & 4.

Aftermarket crank manufacturers have differing ideas on what makes a good oil path, but there is a world of pain in modifying the block to feed the oil in different configurations.

Don't know where my bearings are coming from - I have left that up to Roger King. You can talk to Caterham, Minister and QED who will all be able to supply.
