URGENT HELP need new rear (live) axle

THANKS FOR ALL THE ASSISTANCE, I'VE MANAGED TO GET AN AXLE FROM BARRY HUNT WHICH WILL BE GOING IN THIS WEEKEND HOPEFULLY.

 

I've got a 1996 ex Acadamy live axle and to cut a long story short, the diff exploded at a track day last week and damaged the casing so I need a whole new axle, it is currenly with my local garage who will do the work if I supply the parts.

 

I have 3 questions...

1> Is the axle standard Ital, or modified by Caterham?

2> If it is modified, is there a dealer wherer I can get one apart from Caterham?

3> If it is standard what I am looking for (e.g. Model, Year etc.)

Try Steve Perks at SP Components (01527 894232). Steve does a lot of work for Caterham Cars on both boxes and axles.

I had a new axle build by The 7 Workshop. You could ask Chris where he got the parts from including the modified casing.

Would need refurbishing but otherwise in good nick.

Can highly recommend SP Components mentioned above. Had a new diff from them, they might be "reconditioned" but they have been nicely tweaked as well.
