edmandsd Posted September 26, 2004 Author Share Posted September 26, 2004 Having won the handicap at the Brighton Speed Trials on Saturday 11th September aswell as setting a new class record the BDX is now coming out of the Caterham to be replaced by the Hart. The price of the complete unit with all ancillaries, new pistons, new injectors and re-dynoed is £15k and I'll also throw in the ignition pack with 4 new ignition leads and 4 new CR10EK spark plugs plus a brand new Cosworth starter motor, (as the old one packed up just prior to the Speed Trials) for this price. Alternatively you can have the complete engine as it is with all ancillaries for £13.5k or £13k without the exhaust manifold and system and engine mounts to suit a Caterham. Note that my car with the BDX fitted was over a second faster than the next quickest Caterham at the Speed Trials eventhough we were all neck and neck at the 64 ft mark, plus it crossed the line some 15 mph faster - you don't achieve that kind of advantage just by being lighter !
