julians
Just for the record. put the new carbon dash in today, went in generally fine (didnt have to remove scuttle), a bit of a pain having to cut the holes in the dash, but the end result looks fine. LED for alternator warning light works fine without any aditional circuitry. Blue LED for main beam is way too bright, will do something about that at some point. Had to wire in two diodes for the indicators as per V7 SLR's suggestion.
V7 SLR
I'm pretty sure that the blue LED is brighter than my 80 watt headlamps. 😬 Searing pain in my eyes whenever I use main beam. 😳 😬
Normans_Ghost
V7, thats why I put my warning lights in the middle of the dash. Mine aren't that bright anyway. If you want a picture of my dash layout let me know and I'll eamil one to you. I'll get round to finishing my web site one of these days then all can see. norman verona 1989 BDR 220bhp Mem No 2166 Curmudgeon in an Elise, (and 7 and Elan)
