I.Mupferit
And scored *thumbup* *thumbup* I bobbed, weaved, dribbled the ball past Geoff first then Martin and with a searing shot, sent the ball into the goal. Both guys even shook my hand for this daring, impressive display of skill and ball control. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . But it was only table top football at a charity do organised by Mrs C's company. Just thought I would share that with you as Euro 2004 is about to get under way. 😬 Brent Zetec 209 Reassuringly Expensive

Alex Birtwisle
It would seem all football fans are Christians. Here are some facts about St George: Born in Turkey (in Cappadocia) Lived in 3rd century His parents were Christian Later lived in Palestine Became a Roman soldier Protested against Rome's persecution of Christians Imprisoned and tortured, but stayed true to his faith Beheaded at Lydda in Palestine 23rd April was named as St George's day in 1222 Patron Saint He is patron saint not only of England but also of Aragon, Catalonia, Georgia, Lithuania, Palestine, Portugal, Germany and Greece; and of Moscow, Istanbul, Genoa and Venice (second to St Mark). He’s also patron saint of soldiers, archers, cavalry and chivalry, farmers and field workers, riders and saddlers, and he helps those suffering from leprosy, plague and syphilis. Myles
First the flags - and now the bonnet stickers... ...I noticed today that some of them helpfully say 'England' on them too - presumably some of the potential flag-buying riff-raff had previously been too embarassed to ask the sales assistants if they'd got the right flag...
