(*) This word was used mainly to tease the Irish . In fact, Englishmen came into being only later in the 5th century with the arrival in Britain of the Anglo-Saxons. He would I suppose have been Romano-British (i.e. a Celt of the Welsh/Cornish kind). 😳 nothing...
