richardc
Hi folks, I had a mild gearknob-parting-company-with-gearstick moment on Saturday... the plastic thread stripped. Bother! Has anyone got a spare gearknob floating around, before I throw £50 at Caterham? The, err, "ideal knob" would be metal, would *not* have a lift-for-reverse collar, would have Caterham written somewhere on it, and not have any pictures informing me of the gate layout unless for a 4-speed box. Many thanks, Richard =: Red/Ali 1800 Crossflow with no doors :=
Cloud 9
Richard..I have a OMP plain alloy jobby, that came off of my old X flow, Its a little marked as I think previous owner was a ring wearer 😳 Its held in place by 3 allen grubbscrews. Yours if interested for PP costs and a donation to leukaemia research.
richardc
Hi Cloud9, Assuming those grubscrews will hold the gearknob onto a threaded gearstick (the current gearknob screws onto the top of the gearstick), that sounds great! Does £15 to NTL sound OK? I'll drop you a line to exchange addresses... Thanks! Richard =: Red/Ali 1800 Crossflow with no doors :=
