Petrolhead
How is the tunnel cover held on (Pre Handbrake) Is it easy to remove? Peter Better to go in a blaze of glory than to fade away teeth.gif
Dave H
It's held on by 4 flat headed bolts. You also need to remove the gear knob. It is a very simple job to remove it.

Chelspeed
Mine just rests in place, the front fits under the scuttle the back is held down by the bench seat upright fitting over it. Seats out, gear knob unscrewed, lift the rear until the gearlever's clear then slide it back an inch or so to free the front. I guess if you didn't have bench seats you'd need some screws at the back to hold it down.
Mike Bees
I don't use any screws to hold it down (no bench seat). Mike
John E
Four rivnut things hold mine on. Two located below the gear knob area and two further forward.
Simos
My 1990 tunnel cover was held on with 4 presstuds, two each side at the bottom and tucked down the side of the seats toward the rear. Just unclipped and came off. I have a gaiter that fits on the gear lever so the tunnel cover just lifted off no problems. Looks smuch better without it.
