arukum, it is difficult to know where to a pitch a price, i have tried to egnore the parts invoices!

browse through this forum and old low flyings and see quite ordinary ones for 10 or 11k and i think she is worth it.

what engine have you got? some of us think the x-flow is the best, or proper engine.

Just thinking what arukum17 was saying and did a bit of digging. I appreciate it is difficult to judge a price bearing in mind the mods, but Paul Stevens have got a 1999 1700 xflow for 11995.

At the end of the day if someone likes the car they will tell you what they are prepared to pay for it. If, like me, you have been looking for the past 3 months at cars around the 10k mark you start to get a feel for prices, I have seen 1700 xflows from 6995 to 11995 between H and T reg. I find a car that has a lot of mods puts me off a little, but that is my personal view. I have sent you my email address and look forward to seeing the photos.

PS I think you are nearer the mark than the chap that wants around 10k for 1980 reg 7, may have been completely rebuilt to the highest spec, but people just look at age and model IE classic/roadsport/superlight and x flow/vx/k series etc. All big factors.

As an example I perfer the vx and xflow, I just love to hear the carbs when they suck!

All the best, Phil.

May the best of your past be the worst of your future.
