Tony Martyr
I think the 1600k SS is supplied with NGK plugs type BCP7E S they are still in my engine and inspection reveals they are OK but need replacing after 12000 miles. What are other up-rated k series using in these days of platium tips etc?
Mike Bees
Correct about the BCP7ES Tony. I don't see any need for you to use anything more exotic. If you feel like using a colder plug then I've used Champion RC6YCC with no problems (they're cheap, and are std. fitment to roadgoing VHPDs). I've also used C6VPYC hich are the same heat range as RC6YCC but have a platinum tip which is supposedly less prone to fouling and holds less heat, not that I've noticed any difference. I've also tried some non-projected Champion race plugs, again it didn't make any discernable difference. Mike
