After your suggestions,I checked the spade connectors again, having had a disintegration a month ago, and the one I didn't replace because it checked out O.K. just disintegrated about two inches from the terminal. The wire had obviously got very hot and brittle and decided to give up. There were literally only three or four strands of wire holding it all together.
