davidm
How do air horns work? mine stopped working just after the MOT! the compressor is working and now one trumpet is working, however the second will not work there is air passing through but not making a sound do I need a new trumpet? The horns are situated either side of the expansion tank, is this area too hot for them? I have removed the non-working item to save wieght in true superlight fashion! CHRIS CLARK
Davidm. I had the same happen just after my recent MOT too. Must be the same problem! Really, I found that the sealed-for-life horn diaphragm must be seizing up or fracturing. The horns seemed to have a slight delayed reaction to the button push!!! I too ran with just the best functioning one fitted but sound quality was much compromised. In the end a visit to Halfords got me a complete set of great sounding 'Fiamms' and the cost was only 14.99 UKP. Result!!!
Pierre Gillet
Spray liberally WD40 into the silent horn, and leave WD40 do the business for a night it worked a treat for me. Pierre

elie boone
Blow with the air blow gun from your compressor first in the trumpet and then where the hose is conected, it worked for me but at 80 psi it makes a hell of a noise.
