Marius
Yesterday evening I replaced the standard carb-fuel-tank with a bag-race-tank. The bag-cell comes in a lovely aluminium-box which fits nicely into the place of the standard cell. BUT ..... how should that box be secured ? On the normal cell there is a right-angle-thing which is secured to the chassis by two extra-long-bolts. For the new alloy-box the bolts are not long enough, so what should I do ? Mount the box solidly to the chassis with some screws or even rivets ? Tie-wrap? Glue ? Please help ! Marius
Marius
Thanks, just received an e-mail concerning the topic, problem solved (longer bolts available from Caterham). Cheers, Marius
greg
Is this bigger than the old tank (higher) if so how much, also does it include a sender unit ? The reason I ask is that all last week I wanted to go for a spin, spent a few hours polishing the Ali (and its now pretty shiny), loaded the car, went to garage, put fuel in and loads of fuel falls on floor - que 3 hour RAC assisted trip home ! (2 miles) - my tank has a split, and my sender is buggered. Not a happy bunny :-( So I'm sitting at home working out what I need to replace the tank in a 1990 Live Axle Xflow ......
