grahamnash
My car is a 1800 Supersprint. I bought it 5 years ago when it had 1800 genuine miles. The car and its owner were known by my local garage owner. I have done approximately 500 miles a year . The mileage is now 4255. Never raced. No track days. Never been out in rain. I tax it from May to October then it away for the winter. It is my toy! It was built in 1991 by the previous owner. It is not on a Q plate. It was the 3rd Caterham that he had built so he knew all the pitfalls etc. This was to be the ultimate with everything perfect and "the best". Unfortunately his circumstances changed and he hardly got to drive it.The engine is 1800cc crossflow, professionally built thickwall block. Forged crank, pistons etc. Stage 3 head. Twin 45's. Sometimes tuned engines can be a bit lumpy, but this ticks like a watch and it revs for England ! Last year I had it rolling road tuned; it got 160 bhp at 5500 rpm. Gearbox was new and is Ford RS Sport 4 speed. It has a live axle. Body is short cockpit flared arches. British Racing Green with Yellow nose cone and "7" grille. Full weather gear. Heater. Heated front screen. Thatcham Cat 2 immobiliser. Not a lot more that I can say except that the car is immaculte and almost as new. I do not have a digital camera so I cannot e-mail images. I have photographs, but. I don't understand why purchasers seem to always ask for pictures - all Caterhams look the same ! I will post photos if you want. I think that it is worth every penny of £9,500.
