John
Thinking of changing X-F to K. Whats the method to mate the 2 above. Modify the gearbox input shaft or modify the crank spigot bearing. What input shaft / parts do I need? Who can do it and how much roughly? John

Mike Bees
When I sourced a 1.6K from a scrapyard 3 years ago the 'normal' thing to do was to remove the Rover spigot bearing, ream out the crankshaft and press in a sleeve to take a Ford spigot bearing. Caterham have a jig to put the engine in to do this, and can supply the sleeve & spigot bearing. You probably need to pay attention to the length of the 'box input shaft too. John
Mike. Yep, I'm afraid so. I must be mad turning up. I'm already expecting a serious a*** kicking. MIRA is a VERY fast circuit, and I dont have enough GGs.
