Myles
I need to replace the rubber gaitors/boots that protect the front caliper pistons on my standard brakes (2001 De Dion)... ...Caterham Parts say they don't stock them and 'think' the brakes are Spitfire jobs... Anybody got more of a clue than Caterham - and where do I get them from... Thanks and regds, Myles Keep BC free and open for ALL. Chelspeed
Any decent motor factors will sell you a caliper repair kit which should include new seals plus new dust seals which is what you are calling gaitors. You need a repair kit for a Triumph herald (probably the same as Spitfire).
Sootysevener
Hi Myles You need to check whether you've got Girling Type 12 or Type 14 calipers as fitted to Spitfire - see http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/cgi-bin/rimmer?spitfire/brakes#Front%20Disc%20Brakes%20&%20Fittings David

Myles
Richard - any idea of price? Rimmer Bros seem to be charging £13 inc VAT but + shipping for a repair kit (including external seals) for the Type 14 calipers... Keep BC free and open for ALL.
