red dave Posted April 9, 2004 Share Posted April 9, 2004 as posted yesterday, rev band at 1000/3500 very spluttery and getting worse, is this normal for a 1600ss engine as it has been recently done but problem only started yesterday. have been on trackday and a few blats but this is the first time this splutter has occured. normal tick over and fine at 4000 plus just splutters low down on pull away? anything 🤔 🤔 🤔 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Jason Plato Posted April 10, 2004 Share Posted April 10, 2004 Check inside the dizzy cap for burn marks and scoring , check that the leads are a good tight fit to the plugs and coil . Finally get rid of the fuel you used and put some fresh in , you may have dodgy petrol in there .
