Simon Hancock
As my kit will be arriving next wednesday (1.8vvc roadster). I am so excited. Need to beg steal or borrow (or hire), or donation to NTL. Anyone got one in the Bournemouth Area? *smile* Simon

Grubbster
Have fun building the car! Get your SVA booked soon - you'll be finished sooner than you expect!
Simon Hancock
Thanx, will be taking it to Southamton I expect. Do you know how long it takes to get an appointment? Better to have a pbc first I suppose. Simon
Mole
You can borrow mine - I'm in Taunton which I think is about 70 miles from Bournemouth. Donation to NTL. SV 52 CAT - moles fly - here
Simon Hancock
Thanks Mole thats great! When can I pick it up? Will it go in the back of a Vectra Hatchback or do I need to bring a trailor? Simon

Grubbster
Regarding SVA - Caterham advised me very strongly NOT to use Southampton, I think it was to do with the high number of imported cars they deal with (and very few Caterhams I guess). In the end I decided to use Gillingham, I was going to do it myself but the only appointment they could offer in a short time was a Wednesday morning and I couldn't get the time off. So I drove the car to Dartford for it's PBC and paid them to also take it for the SVA and registration - expensive but it got me on the road earlier! Waiting times can be very high, it is safe to apply as soon as possible, because after you have applied, they send you a card and you then phone up to arrange the appointment date. There is no risk of being forced to commit to a date on the initial application.

Simon Hancock
Thanks eveyone, I have been to Taunton today and collected one from Steven "mole". He even lent me the 41ml driver for the hub nuts. What a great club. Just need to get a cheque off to NTL. *smile* Simon
Grubbster
Hey Normalbloke.29, I am only in Gosport - we must meet up sometime. Do you go to any of the area meets?
Mole
Simon - Taunton seems quite good for SVA - they've done a few Caterhams and as AFAIK don't have a long waiting list. maybe your best option is to have Caterham get it SVA'd when you take it for the PBC.
