In the meantime - yes, it is a good investment to Apollo the vvc. The 1.4s seem to have less travelling around the system, keeping more available in the sump/returning faster to the sump. 1.8 engines quickly absorb the contents of the sump and you'll suffer on hard right hand bends - starvation and air getting into the oil. The Apollo will give some extra capacity (4.5 litres up to 7.5 litres) and will take "some" of the air out.
