The story of "Deadman Walking"

... a story of total bravery (?)

A friend who shall be nameless, but for the purposes of this story we shall call Leon Smith, decided that he had reached a maturity of years and would put old age to the side and buy himself a nice toy.

It came in the form of a HPC on carbs and with just 1800 miles on the clock! The main reason he bought the car was because he had already bought a ferry ticket to Calais. He had bought the ticket because he had entered himself for the Bordeaux Blat in late June.

Now what makes this story really interesting is that his car is currently lurking in my farm buildings. He drives over in his Jag, does a quick Jekell/Hyde transformation and disappears in the Seven.

The reason for this rather strange performance is because he has forgotten to mention this little purchase to his wife....

Fair enough you might say, but consider this...

His 16 y.o. son knows

A doctor friend, who works with his wife, knows

Ditto his mother, his sister and neice...

The tension is proving to much for the Howe household!

I know I will end up taking all the blame and Susan has suggested that if he takes on a Blat Chat name it can only be "Deadman Walking"

It is just a matter of time...
