r500 suspensoin

just bought a used R500.Car has std.suspension I find too soft and not focused enough,any ideas?

Yes - your wrong!! Standard settings were those used for the record lap of the Ring. I think they are a great compromise, myself.

 

If you really want to ruin the car, Caterham do a set of track settings that stiffen it up considerably. I would only recommend it if you are going to use it mainly as a track car.

I have both Road and Race springs and find the Race ones much better for road and track (but admittedly I mostly do track driving now).

 

Are you sure your car is correctly set up the factory are not the best at this!!!!!

So what are the appropriate lb'age springs to fit front and rear on a road/track car??

there are mixed views on this! Those with uprated springs what rate of spring do you use,and do you find these too hard for undulating country lanes? Have you altered the ride height aswell?
