Blimey - I am going to pack in all this work stuff and make stickers for a living instead!

As Moomin said up *arrowup*, it'd be a pity if people's enthusiasm makes this so complex that it becomes undeliverable (i.e. I don't have time to organise it, and Moomin runs out of design energy) and we end up with nothing. The people making the stickers for my car (who are blatchatters in their own right, but have a small company that produces vinyl stickers!) have been watching this thread and have told me that they are concerned that the sheds sticker has now gone beyond what they can produce. For example, they make stickers for race cars primarily - race cars don't have windscreen stickers, so we are unlikely to get them to do these for tin tops. I am sure that there are printers out there who could produce these as complicated as you like - and if anyone wants to take it over fine - but if my company (i.e. me - I'm a contractor) is going to lose the cost of this in the accounts, it all needs to be charged in with the stickers for the race car they are doing and not sent to a specialist printer!

In particular their concerns are that there are now 5 colours, and the 'shading' in the shed roof is not possible for them to do. I propose to ask them what they can do from Moomin's excellent design - and will take it from there. If the cost is exhorbitant (and for example the ones for my race car are costing £3.26 each for 15 stickers in two colours on a white background) so multiply that by a print run of 50 and I think that's about my contribution to 'charidee' then I'll simplify it until it is!

If this goes well, we could try again at a later date to do more - maybe someone else has got the time to handle it? In the meantime, if it's ok with all I will see what I can do with what we've got!

Like you say Geoff, I think everyone is really enthusiastic about this. Maybe it would be best for you and Moomin to liaise with the print company and sort it out that way. I know I will be happy just to get a sticker or two...and I am sure most other people will feel the same.

If anyone feels really strongly about it then maybe they can organise something themselves. I know from organising the Christmas bash how much of a pain it can be trying to sort something like this out. Thanks very much for offering to do it for us *wink* *thumbup*

That's all far too serious... cucumber 😬

I am very happy with moomin sticker number FOUR. Easily happy enough to buy several. I think it might be nicer with a bigger blatter smiley but we're talking about tweaking perfection into sublimity (is that a word *confused*)

*smile* *smile*

so PLEASE go ahead and make the stickers *thumbup*

Geoff,

If it's making life awkward for your racecar sticker order (i.e. too many colours/detail/etc.) then lets just take a step back and separate it from your order. I think the majority of shedders will be prepared to pay for a shed sticker or two, so maybe its better if we just split it out and do it entirely on it's own - despite your very generous offer to absorb the cost with donations to NtL. This removes any grief for your printers and we can get a design to our liking rather than having to compromise it too far. I don't think we're in any great rush to do this, so if it takes another few weeks then that's ok.

I'm offering to work on the design, and am prepared to take on sorting out the actual printing (Hoopy, I might want to speak to JB7 about this if I'm correct?)... as long as we understand we can't do everyone something different, we'll take a vote on a design, and do a small run of printing.

TBH if you just say "this is what's available" based on what's been said so far, I'm sure most of us will be happy. Do whatever you think is best and we'll all go along with it. This is the sort of thing that can get lost in the committee process, so I reckon Moomin and/or GTD should just make an executive decision. *thumbup*

*cool* Moomin - fine by me - I'll whizz off and order my bonnet stripes and URL strips for the roll cage!

Put me down for whatever you come up with! And I promise to not ask you for anything too special - though if you could do the background in Guinness colours, that'd be fab!! (Joke!)

I was going to suggest that we actually paid for them directly - perhaps people can just mentally add a small voluntary cover-fee for NTL to cover Moomins (et al) time instead.

We mustn't let this dissolve into anarchy though - otherwise we'll never get anything done (like the sheds t-shirts of yore ☹️)

I'll be prepared to help out while I'm still jobless.

I want my name on mine, and I want it see through, and I want it printed in mettalic green, and I want it to react to heat so I can stick one on the exhaust and see it change colour, and I want it NOW.

If this isn't possible, I'll have the same as everyone else.

😬You laugh at me because I'm different, I laugh at you because you're all the same. 😬
