LancasterBob
Hi John, Might have more success if you put a price? I bought my 1400 SS engine (same sort of package) from here about 18 months ago for £500, don't know if thats any good to you as a guide? Alternatively you could try places like www.locost-builders.co.uk as they are chock full of people who can't afford to sink wads of cash insuring a car with a big engine? Best of luck, Rob Fishy 1400 Supersport, 65% complete
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted April 1, 2004 Leadership Team Share Posted April 1, 2004 John - I guess you managed the conversion then Have you not thought about moth-balling and hanging onto the 1400 engine - the engine number will be on your chassis plate and should be part of the VIN number? You may regret it in the future if you sell it now 🤔 Stu.
john aston
Thanks for comments /advice. I did receive an offer last night so things looking up.Not too fussed about keeping engine - intend to keep car indefinitely. Conversion to TF 160 VVc now underway. I am counting the days to feel the difference!
