Hoopy, look at the date of the exchange - it was about last year's Cadwell track day, I had only been posting on Blatchat for a few weeks. Then look at the exchange between me and Mav. We did not know one another, and in fact had never exchanged messages before. Then think about how I interpreted Mav's kind invitation to "come over and say hello ..."

doesn't seem embarrassing at all - Mav said please come and say hello cos he's friendly chap and wanted to meet any new people there, you throught he meant at his home, he meant at the track.

 

I don't see why the 😳s are needed, perhaps a ....
