C7 GNW
I have the opportunity of ordering my 1.6K with either wet or dry sump. What are the benefits of the dry sump system?
CHRIS CLARK
Well, if you plan to do track days then the oil can be loaded to oneside of the small sump and you could get starvation at the bearings etc. If you intend to use it for road only then it seems a waste of time and money/weight (IMHO). If the car's for the latter use then you could consider the 'Apollo' anti cavitation tank which will be a sort of half way house between std sump and the dry one. I am going this midway route on an 1800 modified 'K' for road use!!!
Andy Checkley
I agree with Chris completely.
