Steve-B
The following is an amazing website. Don't open it if you are in a hurry because some of the sounds take a few seconds to come though. The little spots you'll see in each section are what you press to find out what sounds you are about to hear. Be sure and turn up your volume. (The only one I question is how they know what dinosaurs sounded like?) Sounds of space Have you ever wondered what it would be like to travel around the solar system? Often we see fantastic pictures from exploratory craft but they only give part of the picture. This site adds another dimension by allowing you to listen to space. You can hear the sounds made by Jupiter's magnetosphere. It almost sounds like seagulls talking over a crashing ocean. You can also hear what it sounds like when infrared rays escape from a black hole. If you think it's loud on earth, you should hear what cosmic debris sounds like. Cosmic debris is the noise in the air made from television, radio and cell phone waves. It's neat to hear.
