Richard_E
Hi Folks, Does anybody have or know where I can get a copy of the power curves for the SLR? Thanks Richard.
murph7355
There'll be a number available from the rolling road day on Sunday at some point. A couple of them were particularly good examples compared to others that have been tested in the past (Nig's [V7] gave 195bhp and a mate of mine's gave 199bhp! Others have been around the 185bhp mark in the past). I theink the se7ens.net server has the results from the last rolling road day. I think there were some SLRs on that. There were definitely some VHPD engined cars. C7 AJM

V7 SLR
Was I chuffed at 197bhp from a standard VHPD? I'll say. What a perfect platform to start a whole host of upgrades... of goody. Right then. Lottery ticket. Where did I put it? smile.gif
Richard_E
Race you to Caterham to place the order? What are you 6 numbers by the way?
Bob Corb
The official homologated power curves for this engine used to be on the powertrain projects web site I know they have upgraded the engine this year with the addition of their new direct to head throttle bodies. It appears to boost top end power by ~5BHP from 187BHP to 192BHP. The DTB tB's are now standard fit on new VHPD engines. There are photos of a half built car in the 7 Gallery which has the new inlet system.
V7 SLR
Ahah, but my 197bhp was chieved on old=style TB's, hence the smug look about my face all week. smile.gif
