Curborough

Good question, personnally I do not know, it is not my favourite sprint circuit *confused*

but I suspect it has something to do with some of the following

1. its close proximity to a lot of competitors and people who are/where influential in the club

2. it used to be the only venue for the 1 or 2 l7 sprint events in the year

3. it has become more than a speed event, and is now just as much a social event

I do not think it is the glamour of the porta loos 😬

I tend to agree with Rob, not my favourite venue either as one mistake and your runs over, I personally prefer other venues like MIRA/ Loton etc where there is an opportunity to claw back any 'mistakes' during the run 😬 😬 😬 😬.

Advantage of Curborough is that its a great club meet and spectator venue *thumbup* *thumbup*, its turned into more of a social gathering.

'Tis my favourite sprint venue - in fact the only sprint venue which really does it for me (hillclimbs are another manner) - great combination of aggression and finesse. Also great for spectating and its free entry! Gutted that I can't make either event this year.
