jon1
Hi, After much debate i'm selling my VX HPC, details as follows: Completely orginal 2 ltr VX HPC Twin Webber 45 DCOE Carbs producing 175 bhp (brand new) Cycle wings (brand new) Removable steering Wheel Sports/competition 4-2-1 Exhaust British racing Green with yellow nose cone Full weather equipment (brand new) Full toneau (brand new) Brand new suspension Brand new 14" minilite wheels Carbon fibre Sill protectors Harnessess (Brand new) Spare set of Camshell wings Only 1,700 miles from new. Price £15,500. ono. (price recommended by a certain organisation in Surrey!) The story behind the such low mileage (if you are interested!) is that it was bought new in 1997 by a gentlemen who lived up north. He never used it in the years he owned it and only put 280 miles on the clock. I bought it 6 months ago and have added the other miles. When Caterham sold it to me they had no idea how few miles the car had actually done (they presumed the Speedo had been changed) and were awaiting the final paper work, when they found out they were shocked and I was delighted ! Caterham had basically spent alot of money making the car as good as new because it had stood still for so long, hence the brand new stuff the car has on it. I have all the paper work to prove this. Many have said to me that this is the best example of a VX they have seen in years as it is basically brand new. Please feel free to e-mail me or give me a call on 07970 610019 to ask any questions. You really must see this car to fully appreciate it, its immaculate and thats not an exaggeration. As you can see from above, this car is basically brand spanking new........ thanks. Paul McKenzie
Out of interest, do you mean by the 'brand new' after the Webber carbs,. that Caterham actually changed the engine It wouldn't really surprise me if they'd had to change the head gasket, as these engines don't like to sit about unused ☹️ Sounds a wonderful machine..wish I was in the market for a new one 😬...and had the cash ☹️ Paul Edited by - Paul McKenzie on 9 Mar 2004 14:10:

John Howe
... that he will is not the issue. The realy issue is when will he tell his wife, as in the short term the car will live here? Imagen him creeping out of the house in his Biggle outfit, getting into his Jag, just to pop over and sort my computer out.... I guess he could tell her the A.C. is jammed on. Please do thank your father for me, for his time - he is a natual Sevener.
