Steve Campbell
Dear all, My battery has finally given up & I need a new one. I'm sick of jump starting the car, even if it is easy to push! Currently have a Banner 530 34 (12v / 30Ah) (car is standard 1.6k ss & 4 years old. Should the battery be giving up at this age ?) I've had a look at the Banner website and it recommends (for a k series) a 544 59 (12v / 44Ah). Q 1) Which do I need ? Q 2) What's the real difference (ie what does the 30Ah / 44Ah really mean ?) Q 3) Where do I get one from ? Can I go to Halfords or some other common retailer and get them to order one ? Approx how much ? Cheers for any help, Steve Steve Campbell P889 GRR
Warren S Smith
Steve, I had to change my battery as I use the car very little and the battery packed up. I bought a replacement from Banner in Austria (this won't help you) and paid approx 45 pounds. The shop said that the battery is used for small garden tractors! My next car will have a battery cut off switch to hopefully avoid the problem recurring. Not sure if this helps!

You will be able to purchase it from Caterham or from a Banner stockist.
