rossybee
..............I might be visiting Caterham Cars tomorrow (Fri) 😬  Just yesterday, by bro-in-law sprung it upon me that we were flying daaan saaarf to view a couple of vehicles (both Merc ML430 in black with 7 seats - apparently the only 2 available in that spec, in the UK at the mo ) Being the family car-bore has its advantages - flights & car hire are paid for 😬 If we have time, I suggested popping along to Caterham, he says, yeah, OK, if you want   0915 I arrive at Luton Airport, collect hire car and it'll be thrash city (traffic-permitting)   Ross and The Doors
rossybee
what i forgot to ask was is there anything there to make the visit extra worthwhile?  Will give virtual wave to shedders on way up M1 / A1(M) (whilst guzzling fuel due to excess vehicular mass ) Ross and The Doors

rossybee
just had a peek at caterham's website - nice silver SL & black R300 (ex-Autocar / Chris Harris) albeit with 15s as opposed to the 13" mags he had fitted? Mileage is hefty Ross and The Doors

rossybee
Phew! Wot a trip! Picked up Fiat Punto at Luton A waved at Paul (two-finger variety), straight to Waltham Abbey to view 1st car. Then to Maidstone (actually East Farleigh) to view 2nd. Bought it. (and managed to blag a shot of a TVR Cerb here ) By the time we got away from here, it was 3pm, and we was stervin' So back along M20, up M25, ended up having late lunch in Crayford. 3hours 😳 from Maidstone to Luton, bro-in-law following carefully in new car. Stopped over in Leeds for a rest (cough) - sampled nitelife *eek* 😬 Up early, home via Edinburgh Airport to collect my tintop. Home by 1230 lunchtime sat, absolutely cream-crackered Great fun tho 😬 *thumbup*  Ross and The Doors
