I.Mupferit
Wanted one ever since I saw a pals dad building one in 1961. The yearning never went away. Brent Zetec 209 Reassuringly Expensive
The Don
...because I grew up within earshot of Lotus and have wanted one ever since (30 years: and before they fenced off the test track ). All right, it's a Caterham but it's in the finest tradition ...because it's the closest thing to a go-kart for the road. ...got my first one yesterday...everything I hoped it would be, and more! Still grinning, despite 150 miles down the motorway in stiff-to-moderate cross winds 😬, Howard

The Don
Hello and thanks for the welcome. I've only been here for a week or so and I didn't realise there was a thriving community down here in the Test Areas Good luck with your boss. Are you going to go out with a bang? scooby dooby doo
I'm going to be nice to them - he's not done anything wrong. Apart from making me working somewhere so it takes over 2 hours to get home (3 miles) and then get in the car and drive to some blatting roads... Morls
Eeee Mav, That looked a horrid smash, a nice little SRX too. I bet the narrow petrol tank hurt 😳 I think a good compromise between bikes and 7s is to get a cheapish racing bike for track use, where most of the bad hazards are removed and the limits can be approached (which simply isn't possible o a modern bike on the road). And always remember to ride sensibly, and wear all the right gear.... here Mark Look it's Mavis here and Jubilee 7 here
