Dartmoor7
1.4 K Supersport After driving for a while and coming to a halt so that the engine is just idling the revs vary between 800 and 1600 rpm. It's quite irritating because it's usually in a hold up in a town and people think I'm blipping it on purpose. Any ideas?
Area Representative Tin Man Posted April 21, 2001 Area Representative Share Posted April 21, 2001 I had the same problem. WD40 around the springs & a slight adjustment of the throttle cable did the trick.
CHRIS CLARK
Could be the throttle pot (on side of plastic intake body) getting worn/dirty/knackered!
Blatman
I would also look at the IACV, if it has one. K's are not my area of expertise, but I have two road cars that developed this annoying trait, and in both cases the IACV was knackered.

Dartmoor7
You win the prize for the first correct answer,Chris. Unfortunately I've had to spend your prize money on the car.
Number Six
Just keep it at 5,000 rpm and stall it when the traffic begins to move. Works every time and confuses the pedestrians. Andy
