VW 2.0 Beetle Cabriolet

Wifes 6 month old 2.0 Beetle, 53 reg, proper UK car purchased 15 sept 03 from Autohaus Northampton. Aquarius blue (retro / pale blue), AC, Electric roof(13 seconds), Alloys, ABS, ESP, TC, PAS, auto wipers, auto dim mirror... Seats 4 in comfort, boot actually quite good. <5000 miles. 2.5 yrs warranty remaining.

 

Although its no ball of fire, this car has a good chassis and is pleasant to drive top up or down. We have two small children who love it and its easy to get them in and out of the back seats. We've all gone away for the weekend in this car and had space to spare in the boot. Wife loves it but finds that her new long commute to work uses too much fuel (its not bad but her last car was a polo TDI which did 60mpg!). We thought about the TDI beetle but its like driving a tractor! VW TDIs dont have good NVH from the outside. This petrol is almost inaudible.

 

Hopefully available 1st march (assuming new TDI arrives on time)
