I am looking to either sell or exchange my 1999 Lotus Elise 111s for a Caterham 7 .

 

My car:

- 1999 Mk1 111s in Inferno (deep metallic) red.

- 1.8k 143bhp vvc engine

- Close ratio gearbox

- Black leather seats

- Excellent condition

- 6 disk cd changer

- Driving lights

- 22,500 miles

- MOT, Service and Tax from November (3000 miles since)

- £15,250 ono

- Completely standard car, stunning to own and drive

 

The 7 - I am looking for a 7 with the following spec:

- 1.6/1.8k Supersport or 1.6 Superlight.

- 6 speed box

- Cycle wings

- Quick release wheel

- S type leather seats

- Heater

- Full weather equipment

I am flexible on spec, so if you have something similar then please give me a shout.

 

I am looking to either sell, or swap for a car of similar value, but am reluctant to go down the dealer route and take the hit on trade in value

Do you guys know how many Caterham owners make the transition from an Elise to Caterham and vice versa?

 

I would be interested to hear from anyone who has and what their experiences have been like.

I am looking to sell / PX my seven for an Elise / VX given a change in plans.

It is currently listed in the For Sale list as "EX Hillclimb/Sprint X-flow.

The car was pure sprint spec but I have modified it significantly to make it a fun road / track day car.

There is no weather kit with it which is reflected in the price of £9k.
