Taran Las
Anyone fitted an 8.5" twin cam clutch to their xflow. I'm having great difficulties in so much as the clutch operating lever is right back against the gearbox(T9) end of the bell housing. Anyone come up with a solution to this problem ? owlscastle
Did you use the correct relase bearing, if you have a clutch with flat springs I think you need the bearing with the round mating face, as opposed to the flat one used on a lot of xflow clutches. KayTee
Also, Burton Power offer various spacers in order to position the release bearing correctly in relation to the clutch spring. Some race clutches differ greatly in depth from the std. one. I was given the hint to fit the whole caboodle, measure the free distance between clutch spring and release bearing, and they'd provide me with the correct spacer. Good luck ! Taran Las
Thanks for your advice - called RK and he advised going for a smaller clutch. So back the 8.5" goes and I'll have to wait for the 7" to arrive. Once again thanks. Phil Owen
