Paul D Jones
30,000 or may even be 60,000 miles Inspect the belt for damage wear and any oil on it as this rots the belt and could cause it to fail, prevention is better than the rebuild, change it every couple of years to be safe belt is about £30.00 check all the ideler pullies full kit is about £80.00 Paul. warrent
My 1.8 Zetec Focus requires it's cam belt changed every 100,000 miles. This is documented in the owners handbook! haynes suggest every 30,000 but Ford will apparently repair any damage caused by a snapped cambelt if the engine is under 100k and has been serviced correctly and by a ford dealer. Cam belt replacement costs around £150 and includes pullys!
Mick Day
Most 7's are not serviced by a Ford dealer even if they have a Ford engine! For piece of mind change it every 3 years or so regardless of mileage. Mick
