Andrew Winch
Registered 1984 on a Q. Lots of money spent last two years as follows. Dry sumped 1700 BDA rebuilt by JoMin engines around new AX block, BD3 cams, 45's, 175 bhp but fine for road use. New yellow nose, green wings, suspension, doors, minilite wheels and tyres. RS 2000 large braked axle with plate type LSD, close ratio gearbox and new AP heavy duty clutch. Perfect undamaged chassis with unpainted alluminium panels and bonnet. The car has completed less than 1,000 miles in the last ten years and will be sold with 12 months Mot. Offers around £9,750 for a Caterham with a proper engine. Might px for Elise or VX 220 (so the wife can drive)

KayTee
🤔 🤔 Any reason why this hasn't been sold, yet ? 🤔 🤔
Sheds Moderator
Very nice, I like KT am amazed the French aren't queueing for this. AFAIK the BDA is homologated in F and is too old for all the emissions rubbish. Under 10k for a straight, unpainted, 175bhp 7 is a very keen price. Andrew Winch
I put the car on Blat Chat last Nov just to see if there was any interest. A guy from Norway showed interest and we had a lot of communication until mid Dec when we agreed on a price. I faxed the details so he could start the import proceedure. He had over looked the fact that it was registered on a Q plate and the fact that 'kit cars' are not allowed to be imported to Norway. He informed me mid Jan that the deal was off so I have re-advertised it. I have not advertised the car any where else except Blat Chat. I will proberbly advertise the car properly in the next couple of weeks, so if any one wants a Caterham with a fresh BDA give me a call, the engine alone must be worth £4,000.
