Err... I don't think it's a question of "liked/didn't like it". The article, stripped down to just the key words, goes:

... popping ... exhaust ... noisy ... rough ... loud ... painful ... terrible ... catastrophe ... fallen off...

... least functional ... vivid extremes of excitement, discomfort and clammy danger...

... entering ... hood erect ... impossible ... legs behind ... twist in an arabesque ... bend ... drag ... precariously ... discomfort ... shoebox ... close contact ... sardine ... almost impossible ... hidden from view...

... easier ... hood down ... but ... erection ... remedial pharmaceuticals ... nail-breaking ... knuckle-skinning ... insubordinately stiff Leatherette ... brewer's droop ... terrible ... limp ... cannot imagine why...

300 horsepower per ton ... danger ... I will not necessarily say fun ... metal casket ... most raw and absolute driving sensation ... very peaky ... throttle-blipping prat ... around town ... fatiguing ... steering ... delight ... instantly ... punitively uncomfortable ... immediacy ... urgency ... sensual ... erotic...

... accelleration ... press ... hard ... popping ... banging ... amazing howl ... eyeballs shudder ... orgasm ... rush ... surging up the spinal column ... hormonal ... vascular turgescence ... involuntary contraction ... expansion ... exposion ... then you lift off ... recreational sex.

Gosh *eek* And it would appear he only drove it round Chelsea... *confused*

😳 nothing...

In fairness, I think he gets the point across reasonably well: it's very fast, it's a hell of a lot of excitement, you either get it or you don't.

However, I can't stand his incessant intellectual knicker-waving and I therefore dub him an 🙆🏻 and admit him to the Setright Order of 🙆🏻 Motoring Writers Who Show Off Too Much.
